    I kept thinking "Maybe... maybe it wasn't a house... maybe it was a... barn, or big garage, or...."
    
    Yeah, it was a house. It was the house closest to the river next to that bridge, on the downstream side. The one partially knocked off its foundation in the 1927 flood.

  I mean there's losing the house, I get that. Then there's the threat of almost losing it just keeps the tension going.
