- Treat all firearms as if they are loaded. (most accidents are caused by assuming they're not)
- Never let the muzzle of a firearm point at anything you are not willing to destroy.
- Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot.
- Be sure of your target and what is behind it.
